Our social responsibility

At Line Solgaard Arkitekter, we are aware of our social responsibility and are committed to being a driving force for sustainable development.

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our involvement in the UN's Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 - on sustainable cities and communities, and SDG 12 - on responsible consumption and production. We actively work to develop and implement solutions that promote sustainable urbanisation and reduce our ecological footprint through responsible use of resources.

As architects, we take our social responsibility seriously and want to contribute to sustainable development.
We have specialised experience and expertise, and help developers with:

  • BREEAM
  • Rehabilitation and transformation
  • Conservation and preservation
  • Site adaptation
  • Socially sustainable projects

Sustainable cities and communities

We recognise our social responsibility and that our projects shape and impact our surroundings. We aim to help design and plan cities and communities in a way that promotes inclusion, sustainability and the preservation of cultural and natural heritage. Through our projects, we create architectural solutions that promote social sustainability and minimise the environmental impact of buildings and associated infrastructure.

We take particular responsibility for:

  • Target 11.3 inclusive and sustainable urbanisation
  • Target 11.4 protect and safeguard the world's cultural and natural heritage
  • Target 11.6 reduce the negative impact of cities and local communities

Responsible consumption and production

We will endeavour to use materials and constructions that reduce the need for new resources in our projects. This means increased use of reuse, recycling and redesign, as well as products made from recycled materials. The materials we choose should be durable, easy to maintain and create a healthy indoor climate. We set sustainability requirements for our suppliers and partners, while at the same time helping to minimise waste at the construction site and reduce emissions throughout the life of the building.

We take particular responsibility for:

  • Target 12.2 sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources
  • Target 12.5 Significantly reduce waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse

We are a member of the Green Building Council and approved BREEAM-NOR AP, and work actively to minimise the environmental impact of our projects.
