Replacement cabin in the beach zone in Fredrikstad, gently placed between the hills in the rock. The building consists of two gable-roofed volumes, connected by a covered walkway. The solution provides a clear division between private and social functions.
The volume to the southwest contains three bedrooms, a loft and a bathroom, while the volume to the southeast contains a kitchen, living room and lounge. The outdoor living area to the south ties the cabin together. The floor plan is space-efficient and makes good use of the square meters.
The cabin is made of wood with a subdued aesthetic that harmonizes with the surroundings. Large windows provide views and daylight, while creating a connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
